The Telegram (St. John's)

With the race so close now, I am definitely starting to get nervous and excited! I have never done anything like this before, but I feel like it will be such an amazing accomplishment for me especially along my weight loss journey. 8 years ago I broke my leg and I have screws and a rod holding it all together and although it can give me some grief during training I have never felt stronger! My body has learned how to manage my injury and still allow me to push so I can always give it my all!

This will be my first ever Tely 10 , or any sort of race for that matter! If you had to ask me last year (75 lbs ago) if I could even attempt such a thing, I probably just would have laughed! But I know even though I will not be ‘running’ the race. I will l be walking/jogging that I can cross that finish line, and I cannot wait to experience the feeling that is going to bring! I have become so motivated and dedicated to better myself mentally and physically, and although I still have a long ways to go on my journey, crossing that finish line will be exactly what I need to know that I can do absolutely anything that I focus on, and aim to achieve!

A big thanks to the Telegram and the St. John’s running Room for giving me this opportunity! I’m sure the Tely will become a yearly event for me from now on, and I can focus each and every year and better results!
