She’s set for life
Lisa Francis (left) Newfoundland and Labrador’s latest Atlantic Lottery Set-for-life winner received her winnings at the Atlantic Lottery regional offices in St. John’s Friday morning from ALC inside sales representative Sarah Breen. Francis of Fox Harbour, Placentia Bay, was cooking a Jigg’s dinner for the family supper last Sunday afternoon and headed to the nearby Gateway Mini-mart in Dunville to pick up some veggies and decided to buy a Set For Life scratch ’n win ticket. Francis said she scratched the ticket on her way back home and saw the three “Set For Life” symbols and “couldn’t believe her eyes” when she saw them. Francis told her boyfriend to turn the car around and head back and got the ticket validated. A local health care worker in Placentia, she said she will continue to work and plans are in the work to go to Disneyland with her son and boyfriend and to go on a “shopping spree for me.” There are also plans to build their own home now with her windfall as they currently rent where they’re living to now.
