PURCHASE Beulah Grace

March 27, 1932 - July 18, 2018 Beulah Grace Rose was born in Corner Brook, March 27th, 1932. The fifth child of Frank and Mary Rose, into a family of thirteen siblings. In 1953 at the age of 21 years, she married Fraser Louis Purchase. Her beloved husband of 46 years, together they raised a family of three children. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmothe­r; her life and love was her family, her strength was her faith. She found the greatest contentmen­t at the family cabin at Bonne Bay Pond, especially when surrounded by her children and grandchild­ren. Her quilting and handiwork were her great passion and past time. She was known and admired for her raisin tea biscuits and the best baked bread in the entire family. A lady of strong values and principles. She will forever be remembered as a hardworkin­g, honest, gentle and kind woman and mother. A true friend to many. Beulah leaves to mourn her children: Raymond Purchase (Lisa), Cindy Vander Graaf (Rick), Donna Purchase-buckle (Don); her grandchild­ren: Vanessa (Louie), Lindsay (Mike), Jordan, Alanna, Kenney, John-fraser; her great-grandchild­ren: Luca and Harper; brothers: Earl Rose, Gordon Rose (Marina), David Rose (Cynthia) and Ronald Rose (Verna); sisters: Elizabeth Traverse, Irene Crann (Donald), Laura Bartlett (Herman), Eleanor Dawe (Edward), and Brenda Lilly (John); brother-in-law Hans Kavli. She was predecease­d by her husband Fraser Purchase; parents Frank and Mary Rose; brothers: Alfred Rose (Nellie); sisters: Jean Sharpe (Arthur) and Rita Kavli; sister-inlaw Clara Rose; brother-in-law Howard Traverse. Special thanks to Western Health and Compassion Home Care, Eastern Health, Pleasantvi­ew Towers, and the angelic staff of 3 South West for the kindness and compassion. We would also like to thank family, friends and neighbours of Reid’s Road and area, Corner Brook. Visitation for family and friends was held on Saturday, July 21 and Sunday, July 22 from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, Corner Brook. A funeral service will be held from St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, Park Drive, Corner Brook on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 2 PM with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiatin­g. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expression­s of sympathy, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
