Other Women Walk
A historical walking tour featuring multiple performances at standing stops in and around Bannerman Park. Professional actors perform as various women from 1922 St. John’s. The tour departs twice daily: at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on weekdays between July 23 and Aug. 10, rain or shine, from the corner of Rennies Mill Road and Circular Road. Backyard Composting
The City of St. John’s, in partnership with the MMSB and MUN Botanical Garden, are offering a free backyard composting information session at MUN Botanical Garden to residents of St. John’s. You can purchase a standard compost bin for $50 or a tumbler bin for $75 (HST included). This session is for St. John’s residents only. You can attend a free backyard composting information session without registering. If you will be purchasing a bin after the session, it is cash only. Receipts will be provided.

What’s wrong with my plant? Summer is the time of year to watch for insect and disease issues on our outdoor plants. Join Todd Boland at MUN Botanical Garden for the Pests and Disease: Preventative and Troubleshooting workshop, as he shows and describes the more common insect, disease or physiological plant problems we are likely to encounter in the St. John’s area. Feel free to bring along a sample of a plant problem you have, for us to discuss with the group. This workshop runs from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and is $15 plus tax per person.
