Ca­pers, but the loss cer­tainly couldn’t be pinned on Walsh.

The sec­ond-year keeper, named a first-team con­fer­ence all-star prior to the At­lantic Uni­ver­sity Sport cham­pi­onship, stopped 15 of 17 shots by Cape Bre­ton. One of those was a penalty kick. Me­mo­rial had picked up a red card in the 54th minute, play­ing the re­main­der of the game short-handed.

In the quar­ter-fi­nal game against the third-seeded Dal­housie Tigers, Walsh kicked out all six shots as the sixth­seeded Sea-hawks won 4-0.
