It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Jean Wareham must share the news of her passing. Jean was born, Estella Jean Hollett on Sound Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundla­nd to her parents Roy & Lillian Hollett (Eddy). Jean, a long time resident of Garden Cove slipped away peacefully with her loving husband Stan, by her side in Clarenvill­e, NF. Jean will be fondly remembered by all of her family. Her husband Stan of 60 years devoted himself to his beloved Jeanie, a true testament of pure love. Son Calvin and his wife Florence, their children Lauren (Hien), Jamie (Rebecca). Great Grandchild­ren: Anthony, Saleiah, Atlas, Isabella, Mila, Violet and Eli. Siblings: Gordon (Patsy), Freeman (Margaret,d), Wilbur (Shirley), Lillan (Gord); Sister-in-laws, Lillian (Chriss), Eileen, Ethel (Bert,d; George,d). Several nieces, nephews and extended family along with a large and loving circle of old friends and new alike. Jean was predecease­d by her parents Roy and Lillian Hollett. Also her beloved son Shawn Wareham. Jean was an avid gardiner, a wealth of informatio­n shared with many over the years. She was a pillar of strength in the Garden Cove and area community, who gave selflessly of her time and effort. For several years Jean served as Treasurer of The Memorial United Church in Garden Cove where she also belonged to the UCW. She was an active member of the board of the local community services. Jean never turned down an opportunit­y of her continuous volunteer work at the Alliance Pioneers along side her husband Stan. Family and Community was the cornerston­e of her existence. It is with deep gratitude and appreciati­on the family of Jean honours those who cared for her these last years at the Dr. Albert O’mahony Memorial Manor in Clarenvill­e. Special Thanks to Dr. Brannan and all the dedicated staff who played a crucial role to both Jean and Stan, always making them feel like they were family there. Due to Covoid19, A Private Interment took place on April 22, 2020 at Garden Cove Cemetery. A Celebratio­n of Life will take place at a later date and time when we can all safely be together.
