Thomas “Tom” Joseph, age 73, of Milford Station, formerly of Little Paradise, Placentia Bay, NL passed away on May 11, 2020 after a short but difficult battle with cancer. Tom was the proud owner, operator of O’toole’s Contractin­g. He took great pride in providing his clients with quality work at a reasonable price. He was known for treating his customers like family and building a great rapport with his distributo­rs. He greatly enjoyed charity work, building and driving floats for the Santa Claus parade and seeing the happiness his work brought to children. His impact will be felt and remembered for many years. Tom is survived by his daughters Leona (Kevin) Conrick, and Leanne (George Donovan); former spouse Geraldine O’toole; grandchild­ren Morgan (Chris), Thomas (Jennifer) and Marina and one Great-grandson Ashton. He is also survived by his brothers Edward, Leonard (Delores), Kevin (Trish), Derm (Alice), Danny (Janine), Fabian (Amanda); sisters Betty (Phil), Mary (Eric), Shirley (Tim), Yvonne (Craig); sister-in-law Anne White and a large circle of family and friends. Predecease­d by parents Daniel (1978) and Elizabeth (Heffernan) (2008); brothers Roger (1978) and Raymond (2015) and the love of his life Dr. Susan Roberts (2013). Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. A Celebratio­n of Life event will be held when conditions permit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Team in Training in memory of Tom O’toole or the VON, Colchester East Hants District.
