With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the peacefully passing of Don Richard Croft in the presence of his family on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Don was born on April 5, 1947 and grew up in Aquaforte. Predecease­d by his parents Charles and Matilda, brothers Cliff, Peter and Allan. Don was cherished Husband, Father and Poppy, he leaves behind his loving wife of almost 50 years Louise. As well as his loving children daughter Tanya (Jason), son Paul (Erin) and his beloved grand daughters Mckenna, Ella, Grace and Anna. In addition to his devoted wife and loving children he leaves behind to mourn brothers Clarence (Marilyn), Kieran (Ann), Reg (Eileen), Sisters Kay ( Jack deceased), Patsy (Dave), Stella (Bill), Ethel (Ted), Marion (Junior), Vangie (Garry), Ann ( Terry). As well as a host of brothers inlaw, sisters in-law, nieces and nephews. Dad was always the first one to make a joke and give you a smile. He was an avid fisherman who loved his days at the fishing hole. He had many friends that he met as a plumber pipefitter over the years as a member of the local 740, Dad spoke fondly about this time in his life. The past few years of dads life he enjoyed his time in Petty Harbour having a yarn with the boys on the wharf especially with Murray. Dad will be dearly missed. Don is resting at Caul’s Funeral Home and due to the Covid 19 restrictio­ns a Celebratio­n of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers you may consider a donation in Dad’s memory to Canadian Neuroendoc­rine Tumor Society or a Charity of your choice.
