Passed away on June 30, 2020, at the Health Sciences Center in St. John’s at the age of 98. Predecease­d by her parents: Arthur and Jessie (nee Dawe) White; her husband Frederick Butt (1976) and her second husband Lamont Parsons (2002). Leaving to mourn and cherish the many wonderful memories of her life with us; her daughter Judy Norris (David) in St. John’s and her son Chris Butt (Kathy Harrigan), in Dartmouth NS; her step-daughters: Barbara Clancy (Chris) in St. John’s and Brenda Bjerkseth (Philip) in Pickering ON, her grandchild­ren: Matthew Norris (Francesca), Stephen Norris (Sharon), Jessica Norris (Chris Hedges), Alex Butt (Cailin Macdonald), Karen Butt (Gordon Paterson), Elizabeth Bjerkseth, and Allison Bjerkseth (Andrew Kennedy) and 8 great-grandchild­ren, along with the staff and her many friends at Tiffany Village, and her friends and colleagues at RBC Dominion Securities in St. John’s. She was a force in any conversati­on and had a terrific sense of humor. She had a brilliant flair for the stock market, she was a tireless gardener, a wicked scrabble player, a dance floor magnet, and a serious threat to the lobster population. A special thank you to the staff at Tiffany Village for their compassion­ate care, support and friendship over the years. At Babs’ request, cremation has occurred, and a memorial service and celebratio­n of her life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Babs’ memory may be made to The Anglican Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in St. John’s, or the charity of one’s choice.
