RCMP expected to release more information on Appleton incident today
The RCMP is expected to release more information today on an incident Thursday that shut down a neighbourhood area in Appleton for some hours.
One person was taken into custody after residents of the River Road and Roland Road area were asked to remain inside their homes.
A heavy police presence remained in the area throughout the day.
The RCMP later advised that there was no active threat and no longer concern for public safety. Residents were advised they could leave their homes but to respect a police perimeter.
