7 DAY FORECAST, ST. JOHN’S

-

CINDY SAYS: Weather systems have been in a holding pattern, thanks to the blocking Greenland High that continues to hold a spiralling area of low-pressure south of the Avalon. The counter-clockwise circulation around the almost stationary system is from the northeast, with gusts from 70 to 90 km/h. As far as the rain goes, it’s on its way out... finally! Showers and isolated wet flurries will on the cool side of the offshore low. The end of the week will be fresh but fair, ahead of a wet and possibly white weather-maker expected to push up from the southwest on Saturday. Plan for some indoor fun – the weekend is looking cool and unsettled.
