GOUDIE, Helen Eileen

March 2, 1938 – May 27, 2021 Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family at the P.C.U. Miller Centre on May 27, 2021 age 83 years. Predeceased by her devoted grandparents: Annie and Peter Howell; parents: Dorothy Ruttgaizer and Harrison Peddle; siblings: Roy Howell and Frank Ruttgaizer; brothers-in-law: Claude and Fred (Jane) Goudie. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her loving husband of 62 years Donald; her children: Anthony (Tony) Valerie, Shaunna (Denis), Lisa (Patrick) and Shane; grandchildren: Peter Ilisituk, Eric (Emily) Tanguay and Keenan (Jane) Good; siblings: Leonard (Winnie) Howell, Jean (Ford – deceased) Taylor, Bernard, David, Wayne, Paul, Roger, June, Kathleen, Cynthia, Leah, Angela and Beverly Ruttgaizer; brothers-in-law: Job (Sylvia) and Edward (Betty) Goudie; sister-in-law: Joan (Peter Jr. – deceased) Howell, many nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends. After marriage to Donald they left the province of Newfoundland and moved to Quebec to raise their family. Helen loved her years there raising her children. Donald and Helen retired and they returned to Newfoundland, where she continued her many passions like gardening, crafts, travelling and a love for cats. Due to current Covid restrictions, a visitation and celebration of Helen’s life will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Helen’s memory to the S.P.C.A. as she loved all animals.
