VEITCH, Noel

Passed peacefully away on June 1, 2021 at the PCU of the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Mary, beloved children Barbara Dawson (Chris), Brian (Kara) and John (Colleen); cherished grandchildren Erik Veitch, Anna Conway (Eugene), Jeffrey, Michael, Laura Jane and Angela Dawson, Thomas and Alexander Veitch, Claire Mcgrath; great-grandson Jack Conway and his devoted sister Elizabeth Dillon (Mike). Also mourning his loss are his sister-in-law Kay Browne; nieces and nephews Steve Browne (Karen), Sheila Nelson, Mark Dillon (Kathie) and Mieka Chobotar (Barry). Noel was a dedicated teacher with a long career in the faculty of education at MUN. He loved music and was a founding member and longtime player with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra. After retirement, he devoted his time to volunteer work, especially with Meals on Wheels and the MUN Campus Food Bank. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Community Food Sharing Association or the Gathering Place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road. Visitation subject to COVID-19 restrictions will occur on Friday from 1-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 9:30am from Corpus Christi Church with interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Those wishing to attend the Funeral Mass can register by calling Corpus Christi Parish at 368-9751 or attending the visitation at Caul’s Funeral Home to register in person.
