Passed peacefully away at Tiffany Village Retirement Residence on Thursday, June 17, 2021 Marilyn Louise Nickerson, RN (nee Bishop) age 75 years. Predeceased by her husband Ralph Nickerson; parents: Jacob and Minnie (Dyke) Bishop; parents-in-law: Herman and Rowena Nickerson; sisters: Ramona Tansley, St. John's, Jean Tilton of Milton, New Hampshire; brothers-in-law Harry Tansley of St. John's: Bertram Tilton of Milton, New Hampshire. Leaving to mourn sister Norma Carroll (Bud) of Melbourne, Florida; brother Bill Bishop (Ruth) of Deep River, ON; sister-inlaw Verna Kinsman of New Brunswick; brother-in-law Barrie Nickerson of Nova Scotia; special nephews: Philip, Peter, Ross (deceased) and Derek Tansley; also a large number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives; many friends, former colleagues and nursing students of the Grace General Hospital School of Nursing. Special thanks to the Management and Staff of the Tiffany Village for their care and support of Marilyn during these past few years. It has not gone unnoticed. A big thank you to Dr. Mercedes Penton for her kind and compassionate treatment of Marilyn during her illness. Donations can be made to Cowan Heights United Church. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Memorial service will take place on Wednesday June 23, 2021 at 2:00pm at Barrett's Chapel, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s.
