It is with heavy hearts that we an-nounce the passing of Elizabeth Jane Decker (nee Rose). She passed at She passed at home, surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, one month shy of her 80th birthday. Prede-ceased by her parents Jenny and Leo Rose, sister Patricia "Patsy" Smith, and sister-in-law Audrey Bridger. Leaving to mourn, with beautiful memories, the love of her life and husband of 61 years, George Decker, daughter Natalie (Victor Strong), son Delano (Kim), and grand-daughters Courtney (Ryan Brown), and Bethany (An-drew Lawrence); also lov-ingly remembered by her brothers Clyde Rose (Ada) and Delano Rose (Doreen), sisters-in-law Marie Saunders and Ruby Fisher. Through a long struggle with her health, Betty was privi-leged to have been under the care of many kind-hearted health care profession­als. A special thank you to Dr. Pam Pike for her compassion and care through the years, com-munity health nurse Jennifer Codner, Dr. Thavanatha­n, the ambulatory treatment clinic at the HSC, Dr. Pat O'Shea and the incredible staff of the 4th floor at St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Betty will be fondly remembered by a large circle of beloved family and friends. We cele-brate Betty's life, her courage, and her never ending love for her family and home. Visitation to take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 3pm-9pm. Fu-neral service will be held from Barrett's Memorial Chapel on Thursday, June 30th at 11am. Flowers will be graciously accepted, or a do-nation to the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foun-dation.
