Stern blasts ‘annoying’ coverage of Queen’s death

-

Radio personality Howard Stern is fed up with America’s obsession with Queen Elizabeth II .

Back from summer vacation, the shock jock lashed out at the “annoying” coverage of the monarch’s recent death on an episode of The Howard Stern Show this week.

“Enough with the Queen!” he told co-host Robin Quivers. “I mean, it’s America, we don’t have a Queen.”

The Queen’s death has dominated the planet’s front pages since she died last Thursday at age 96 . “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon,” the royal family tweeted.

Stern, 68, acknowledged that Elizabeth II was a “nice lady” but said he wants the media to get back to covering American politics.

“She did her duty to her country, I get it, I get it, I get it but we gotta get back to Trump, where those papers are that they found at Mar-a-lago.”

Stern went on to offer several theories on why he thinks Trump allegedly held on to more than 100 classified documents at his Florida estate.

“I think he was trying to prove to the Russians, like, ‘I’m really in control here. I’ve got top-secret papers.’ Meanwhile, he’s showing them to Russians,” he said, according Fox News. “Just like, to prove that he was president in a way he doesn’t even believe it. That’s the most safe explanation.”

Stern then offered up a “horrible” second theory.

“This is a guy who badly wants to do business with Russia and Saudi Arabia. Imagine if he says to them, ‘Look man, give me a couple billion dollars, and I’ll show ya where France keeps their nuclear weapons, and you guys can see all this s— if you do business with me.”

He also speculated that Trump was motivated to keep the secret docs for monetary gain.
