Paul Crotty brought laughter, music, and love to those who had the honour to know and love him. Paul Crotty passed peacefully away on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at approximat­ely 5:30 p.m. after a bout with cancer at the wonderful age of 80 years. Paul was predecease­d by his parents, Pat and Annie Crotty; his first wife, Brenda (Martin); his siblings, Carmel Everard, Rosemary Kennedy, Bernadette Halliday; his brother, Frank (Anne). He is survived by his only remaining sibling, Noelle Garcia in Jacksonvil­le Fl. Paul leaves to mourn his wife, Bonita (Bonny) O’keefe; along with his children, Chris (Michelle), Paula and Michael; and his grandchild­ren, Lawson and Spencer Crotty and Cyrus Bowe. Apart from family and his friendship­s, he found happiness and enjoyment in his life at VOWR radio station where he spent 30 years playing, "The Music of Your Life." A 30-year career at Economy Drywall Supplies brought treasured friendship­s that have lasted until his passing. Paul also wanted to acknowledg­e the friendship­s formed during years of wintering in Florida at Four Seasons Park in Largo. We would like to acknowledg­e the kind and caring staff at the Miller Center Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion for Dad in his final days. Paul wanted to pass along a special thank you to his long-term physician Dr. Dennis O’keefe and his associate Gerri Murphy who were at his beck and call anytime he needed them, thank you both. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Road on Wednesday, May 24, from 2–4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at Wesley United Church, 101 Patrick Street. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Paul’s memory can be made to his beloved VOWR.
