Cherry Elizabeth Attwood (Maclellan) passed peacefully away in Chancellor Park Nursing Home, St. John’s, on May 21, 2023, at the age of 86 years. Predecease­d by her parents: Hugh and Myrtle Maclellan; husband: Kenneth Maxwell Attwood; sisters: Janet Maclellan, Jean Cross, and Lorna West; brothers: Clyde, Bruce and Roy Maclellan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Wendy Modin, Ken Attwood, Neil Attwood (Patti), Colin Attwood (Heather), and Ian Attwood; sister: Ruth Lawlor; grandchild­ren: Kyle and Branden Modin; Kirsten and Riley Attwood; Jordan Jarvis; Chad, Gavin, and Alexandria Attwood; Victoria Attwood; great-grandchild­ren: Nova, Ellie, Levi, Cameron, Brailee, Bryson, Hailey, and Hunter; as well as a large circle of nieces and nephews, in Newfoundla­nd as well as scattered across Canada and the United States. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Presbyteri­an Church (The Kirk), on Friday, June 16th at 11 a.m. A brief visitation will occur in the foyer of the church at 10 a.m. for those who wish to attend. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. A reception will be held at 1 p.m. in the Barrett’s Reception Center, 328 Hamilton Ave., all are welcome. Flowers will be gratefully accepted by family or donations may be made to St. Andrews Presbyteri­an Church (The Kirk) in Cherry’s memory.
