April 25, 1942 – February 18, 2024. It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bruce Fraser Tricco on February 18, 2024, at the age of 81. Predecease­d by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol (Moore); brother, Neil; sister-in-law, Fern Moore; and son-in-law, Robert Hawkins. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted daughter, Pamela; and most cherished granddaugh­ters, Julianna and Keira; sister-inlaw, Barbara Tricco and Allison Bailey (Ted); many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; and a large circle of friends and neighbours. Special thanks and thoughtful acknowledg­ement to his sisterin-law Barbara, niece Alana and Trevor Snow, friends Andrea and Mike Hawkins, Krista and Chris Jordan, Christine and Sam Hawkins for their unwavering love and support. After his retirement from the provincial government, Bruce dedicated countless hours as an avid volunteer at the 150 RCAF (North Atlantic) Wing where he was a member for 26 years and served as President for two terms. He also received numerous accolades including Wing Member of the Year 2009-2010, Wing Distinguis­hed Service award 2010-2011, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and the RCAF National Meritoriou­s Award in 2021. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, infinite generosity, and kind heart. Cremation has taken place. Interment and a celebratio­n of Bruce’s life will take place at a later date.
