TRICCO, Bruce Fraser
April 25, 1942 – February 18, 2024. It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bruce Fraser Tricco on February 18, 2024, at the age of 81. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Carol (Moore); brother, Neil; sister-in-law, Fern Moore; and son-in-law, Robert Hawkins. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his devoted daughter, Pamela; and most cherished granddaughters, Julianna and Keira; sister-inlaw, Barbara Tricco and Allison Bailey (Ted); many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews; and a large circle of friends and neighbours. Special thanks and thoughtful acknowledgement to his sisterin-law Barbara, niece Alana and Trevor Snow, friends Andrea and Mike Hawkins, Krista and Chris Jordan, Christine and Sam Hawkins for their unwavering love and support. After his retirement from the provincial government, Bruce dedicated countless hours as an avid volunteer at the 150 RCAF (North Atlantic) Wing where he was a member for 26 years and served as President for two terms. He also received numerous accolades including Wing Member of the Year 2009-2010, Wing Distinguished Service award 2010-2011, Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal in 2012, and the RCAF National Meritorious Award in 2021. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, infinite generosity, and kind heart. Cremation has taken place. Interment and a celebration of Bruce’s life will take place at a later date.
