DALTON, Elaine Frances

January 16, 1953 - February 24, 2024. With wonderful memories, we sadly announce the passing on February 24, 2024, of a beautiful soul, our Mom, Elaine Frances Dalton of Bell Island, NL, after a courageous battle with heart disease. She is predeceased by her dear parents, Vincent and Alice Dalton, and her brother, Blair Dalton. Leaving to mourn are her loving sons, Samuel Rose (Jill) and Bradley Rose (Jasmine), and their father, Sam Rose Sr. Also, her treasured grandchildren, Amy, Samuel, and Brianna Lydia Elaine; her sisters, Mary Hickey (George), Alice Brazil (David), and her brother Philip Dalton (Marg); as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Also left to mourn is her loving partner, Gerald Tobin, who brought incredible joy and happiness to Elaine's life. Through their love, Elaine was welcomed into the Tobin family, especially by Gerald's daughter, Chelsea Babb (Matt); and granddaughter, Maddie. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Pendergast Funeral Home. At Elaine's request, there is no visitation. The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, February 29th at 2 p.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Bell Island, with a Reception to follow at St. Michael's Parish Hall. Interment will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of the Cardiology Unit, 5th floor Health Sciences Centre, for their exceptional care of Elaine.
