TAYLOR, Baxter
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Baxter Taylor, age 76 years, at Conception Harbour, on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Baxter was a loving, kind, generous, and hard-working husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He was a former employee of IOCC at Labrador City, where he lived and worked from 1973 to 1997. He was predeceased by his parents, Angus and Fanny (Cole) Taylor; his brothers, Derrick (Ruth deceased), and Angus Brian Jr.; his sisters, Melviny (Roy deceased), Viletta (Clarence deceased), Mitchie (Wayne); and also his two infant siblings, Marjorie Nellie and Terry Albert. Also, by his father-in-law, George and his mother-in-law, Mary (Curran) Dalton; and his sisterin-law, Anne (Tom deceased). Leaving to mourn with treasured memories are his loving wife, Mary (Dalton) of 49 years; his devoted sons, Christopher and Michael; and his cherished granddaughter, Emily. Also, left to mourn are his brothers and sisters, Ruby (Hammond deceased), Otto (Daisy), Rhona (Bill), Ford (Lillian deceased), Helen (Neil), and Roxanne (Barry); and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elizabeth, Helen (Pat deceased), Marg, Ed (Bernice), Gerry (Leo); and many nieces, nephews, and friends. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our family doctor, Dr. Russell Lake for his above and beyond care for Baxter and to Dr. Michael Paul, Baxter's Nephrologist for his exceptional care over the past 27 years. Visitation to take place on Wednesday, March 13th, from 2-9 p.m. at Flaherty’s Memorial Funeral Home, 70 Conception Bay Highway, Conception Harbour. Funeral Mass to be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Colliers, on March 14th, at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Conception Harbour.
