1 . What is your full name?

Adam Donald Steven Baxter

2 . Where and when (year is enough) were you born?

I was born in July 1982 in Middleton, N.S.

3 . Where do you live today?

Campbellto­n, N.L.

4 . What’s your favourite place in the world?

I have two answers: one stage playing music, and Burgeo, the best-hidden gem in all of Atlantic Canada, with the most beautiful beaches and friendlies­t people.

5 . Who do you follow on social media?

Alaskan singer/songwriter Medium Build on Tiktok, Facebook and Instagram; singer/songwriter Theo Kandel in Tiktok; Roll For Sandwich on Tiktok; Jabs Family for baseball card content on Youtube.

6 . What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I was the Canadian national Taekwondo champion in 1998 and 1999. I represente­d Canada at the 1998 World Junior Taekwondo Championsh­ips and made it to the quarter-finals!

7 . What’s been your favourite year and why?

I literally cannot pick a favourite year. I try to make the most of every year and have so many great memories over the last decade. I’m pretty blessed to have so many great musical happenings to make this a difficult question to answer.

8 . What is the hardest thing you’ve ever done?

The passing of my grandmothe­r in 2009 was my first experience with a close family member passing.

I thought I would be able to handle it, but I was a complete mess.

That was hard.

9 . Can you describe one experience that changed your life?

In 2011, I was finishing my music education degree and was completely out of money. I was facing the fact that may have to quit university and move back to Nova Scotia. On a complete fluke, I ended up entering a multiweek open mic competitio­n at O’reilly’s pub in St. John’s, and the grand prize after 10 weeks was a new car. Fastforwar­d to the final night and I won the entire competitio­n and was awarded a new car! I quickly sold the car, caught up on my finances and was able to complete my music education degree. Thankyou, O’reilly’s!

10 . What’s your greatest indulgence? 11 . What is your favourite movie or book? 12 . How do you like to relax?

Baseball cards and takeout. I also spend a lot of money and energy on my cats. “Shawshank Redemption,” “The Lorax,” “American Beauty,” “American History X,” “Forrest Gump.”

I love to play video games. Yes, I do play some Fortnite. But I also love all titles of the Super Mario and Legend of Zelda franchises.

13 . What are you reading or watching right now?

I’m watching “The Orville,” “SV Delos,” “Field Days” and Yes Theory videos on Youtube.

14 . What is your best quality, and what is your worst quality?

My best quality is my work ethic. My worst quality: I take everything to heart, including music industry rejection when you’re expected to have a thick skin.

15 . What music are you listening to right now?

Medium Build, Theo Kandal, and Evan Honer

16 . What is your greatest fear?

Flying on the plane. I guess technicall­y my fear is the plane going down. But it’s triggered by being on a plane, that’s for sure!

17 . What’s your favourite meal to cook?

I have a super solid butter chicken recipe from scratch. Not sure if I love making and cleaning up, but I sure do love eating it!

18 . What is your most treasured possession? 19 . What three people, real or fictitious, would join you for your dream dinner party?

My Martin D-12 acoustic guitar and my collection of rare baseball and hockey cards.

20 . What’s one lesson you learned from your parents that has stuck with you?

My parents are dairy farmers in rural Nova Scotia and a farmer’s work ethic was driven into my brain from a young age. Also, my parents always taught me that we are all on this planet together, so we may as well all get along to make it the best place possible.
