‘Totally normal’

Elizabeth Hurley’s son unfazed directing her in sultry thriller

Damian Hurley has opened up about his erotic thriller “Strictly Confidential,” which stars none other than his mother, Elizabeth Hurley.

In the movie, one particular scene shows the 58-year-old actress’ character Lily getting seduced by a woman named Natasha, played by Pear Chiravara.

“I hate to say that it felt totally normal,” he said in an interview with the Sunday Times. “I don’t know what that says about us.”

Damian said that an intimacy co-ordinator was not needed on the set because “everyone was very comfortable.”

He added that while his mother didn’t let him watch violence in movies, she taught him about sex when he was “ludicrously young,” insisting that it is a “beautiful and natural” act.

Damien explained: “I was speaking to a lot of my friends who are also second generation of parents in the industry. They say exactly the same thing: that things to outsiders that may seem totally strange and extraordinary, for us we’ll just have grown up with in everyday life.”

The mother and son have been called out for how close they are, especially after the actress revealed Damian was the person who takes her bikini photos that she regularly posts on social media.

In the new interview, Damian called it “business,” adding: “We don’t think about it for any more than point, press, done, post.”

He said he and his mother were more like “siblings” than parent and child because it was just the two of them growing up.

Damian said they are “extraordinarily alike and in tune,” have a “twin telepathy” and can carry on “complete conversations” with just nods and shakes of their heads.

Elizabeth, who shares Damian with ex Steve Bing, previously said she felt “safe and looked after” while shooting the film.

“I’m relaxed in front of him,” she said of her director son. “He looks after me ... it’s relaxing knowing someone is behind the camera who looks out for you.”

“Strictly Confidential” is set for release Friday.
