Rogues head home after a 1-3 road trip through Ontario and Quebec

The Newfoundla­nd Rogues have charted a course home after a four-game road trip through parts of Ontario and Quebec.

On the trip, the Rogues went 1-3 against the London Lightning, the Windsor Express, the Sudbury Five and the Montreal Toundra as they headed back to the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s with only one win against Sudbury.

That leaves Newfoundla­nd at 16-12 for the season and sitting in fourth place in The Basketball Super League (BSL).

It continues a trend of the

Rogues struggling away from home court this season. In games on the road, Newfoundla­nd is 3-9 while they are 13-3 when the games are played in St. John’s.

All-star guard Armani Chaney continues to be the team’s top scorer at 25 points per game. That’s also the league’s top mark.

Chaney is also dishing out a league and team-high 9.7 assists per game. Meanwhile, Marquis Collins is fifth in league scoring with 21.1 points a game.

ROGUES VS LONDON LIGHTNING (APRIL 1):

• Field goal percentage — 34.6 per cent (45.2 from three);

ROGUES VS WINDSOR EXPRESS (APRIL 4):

• Field goal percentage — 41.8 percent (28.2 from three);

• Total rebounds — 43;

• Total assists — 18 (10 steals);

• Top Rogues scorers:

• Robert Hobson — 21 points and nine rebounds;

• Shandariou­s Cowart — 19 points and seven rebounds;

ROGUES VS SUDBURY FIVE (APRIL 6):

• Total rebounds — 36;

• Total assists — 15;

The Rogues are now off till April 18 when they finish their season with six games at home. That starts with a three-game series with the Sudbury Five, followed by another three-game set with The Basketball League’s Tristate Americans starting on April 25.
