WINSOR, Renée

-

Renée suffered a respiratory induced cardiac arrest on March 31, 2024 and died surrounded by her family on April 3, 2024. Renée was funny, sarcastic and quick witted, but she was also kind and giving. Renée was predeceased by her father, Loyola Mackey. She is survived by her Mom, Sandra Mackey; sister Karen Noseworthy and Karen's husband Steve, and their children Ben and Peyton; Renée's father's longtime partner Gail Durdle, and her daughters Melanie and Natasha; brother-in-law Sheldon Winsor, his wife Rebecca and their children Meredith, Naomi and Tanner. Renée also leaves behind her husband of over 23 years, or as Renée would introduce him, "this is my first husband, Brad", and the two most important people in her life, her daughters, Sarah and Maggie. Renée always wanted to be a Mom, and she loved being a mom. She was so proud of the people Sarah and Maggie had become. Your mom thought you were both beautiful, smart and kind. She loved you so much, and you' ll be able to have her love with you forever. Renée was a teacher for almost 25 years at the College of the North Atlantic, and Renée loved being a teacher. Renée was always teaching, like when she would grammar correct Brad's texts. Renée loved Christmas, while moving into her current house the movers asked if she owned a Christmas store. One of her proudest accomplishments at CNA was the Earn Your Wings campaign which raises money to buy Christmas gifts for students that have children. To help students during Christmas, to provide their children the Christmas gift they wished for, brought Renée so much fulfillment. Organ donation was Renée's ultimate gift. Thanks to HSC ICU staff, nurses, nurse Practitioner, and the organ donation team for their kindness, support and how well they took care of Renée. Flowers are gratefully accepted or a donation in Renée's name can be made through the following link: CNA - Alumni & Advancement - Giving to CAN https://www.cna.nl.ca/alumni/advancement/giving-to-c na Arrangements en trusted to Barrett’ s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, St. John’s.
