Passed peaceful surrounded by family at her residence in Tiffany Village, St. John’s, NL, at the age of 88. Predecease­d by her parents, Capt. Frank and Agnes Thornhill; first husband, Jerry Williams; second husband, James A. Hamilton; siblings, Gordon, Harold, Bill, Sue, Shirley, Ruby, and Eli; and granddaugh­ter, Sandra. Dearly missed by children, Geraldine (John), Harold (Rosa), James (Patricia), Sueann (Dave), and Frank (Eunjae); stepson, John (Marie); foster-daughter, Barbara; stepchildr­en, Jim, Linda, Bruce, and Doug; siblings, Ewart and Bertha; grandchild­ren, Teresa, Nathan, Ryan, Rebecca, Tara, Emma, Katharine, Nigel, Timothy, Tanya, Shelby, Mishelle, Brea, Meghan, and Christine; great-grandchild­ren, Joseph, Cecilia, Aizen, Alexander, Mason, Tamara, Mikyla, Brantley, Landon, Freya, and Ophelia; sisters inlaw, Marie and Bridget; and many nieces and nephews. Along with being devoted to her family, Margaret served the community as an active volunteer at Corpus Christi Church and the Waterford Hospital Clothing Store. She will be forever remembered for her generous spirit, especially when it came to sharing her wonderfull­y prepared meals and baked goods. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, Lemarchant Rd, on Friday, May 10, 2024, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place from Our Lady Queen of Families (Formerly St. Peter’s Church) on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with interment to follow to Kilbride RC Cemetery.
