October 28, 1935 - May 20, 2024. Beloved wife, mother, grandmothe­r, great-grandmothe­r, sister, aunt and friend. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our beautiful mother, Lorraine, in her 89th year. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Predecease­d by her beloved husband, Bill; son, John; granddaugh­ter, Suzanne; parents, Patrick and Pauline (Connolly) Fahey; brother, Ed Fahey; brother-in-law, Jim Gaulton; father and mother-in-law, William and Anna Lush. Leaving to mourn, sons and daughters, Helene Lush, Debbie Squires (Gary), Susan Hiscock (Paul), Joanne Barnable, William Lush (Marieve), Stephen Lush and Eileen Esco (Paul). Grandchild­ren, Jenny, Jared (Allison), David, Bobby, Steven, Andrew (Mel), Jessica (Danny), Patrick, Michael (Chrissy), Jeffrey, Daniel (Lisa), Matthew (Sueha), Thomas, William, Juliette, Jack, Elijah and Max. Great-grandchild­ren, Anna, Danielle, Lily, Sebastian, Rowan, Sloane, Lana, Jake, Jesse and Madison. Sister, Patricia Gaulton; sisters-in-law, Rosemary Fahey, Helen Patey and Patsy Green. Brother-in-law, Larry Finnegan. Goddaughte­r, Ariana Patey. Many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Our mother was a nurturer of children, her family, her most important and greatest treasure. Mom was a lifelong volunteer, an active member of many organizati­ons dear to her heart. Her legacy of accomplish­ments includes receiving her 60 year pin for her dedication and service to Girl Guides of Canada and her appointmen­t as President of the NL Chapter of the MS Society of Canada. For their compassion and expertise, we would like to thank the dedicated teams of the Dementia Home Care Program, the Community Health Palliative Home Care Program, as well as Mom’s home care providers. We couldn’t have done it without them. Visitation will be Thursday, May 23 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Caul’s Funeral Home on Lemarchant Rd. Celebratio­n of Life will be held in Caul’s Chapel Friday, May 24 at 2 p.m. Donations in her memory can be made to the MS society of NL. “Don’t say good-bye, say so long” www.cauls.ca
