If your favourite B.C.-made film and TV show this year are De­vout and Mo­tive, you can likely wit­ness ac­cep­tance speeches (and out­fits) by the cre­ative teams and ac­tors as they nab some of the many Leo Awards for which they’re nom­i­nated. The movie, about a cri­sis of faith in ru­ral Bi­ble-belt B.C., cap­tured the most nom­i­na­tions in the mo­tion pic­ture cat­e­gory with 14 in to­tal, in­clud­ing best di­rec­tion for Con­nor Gas­ton and best lead ac­tors, both fe­male and male for Ali Liebert and Char­lie Car­rick.
