The Walrus - - CONTRIBUTORS’ NOTES -

“This is the first story I have ever written that’s set in St. John’s, and I’ve lived here now for six years. There’s a really specific history and a specific culture that I had to learn and to feel comfortable in. While the story never says it’s in Newfoundland—there’s the odd mention of the ocean—for me, it’s clearly set in St. John’s, and I certainly hope the voice conveys that.” Elisabeth de Mariaffi’s latest book, Hysteria, was published in March.
