Émilie Régnier
“Group Show,”
“People often ask me why I’ve laid out my family photos in a pattern. I have a compulsion to create patterns. dna is a genetic pattern. Families are made up of patterns too: we have emotional patterns, behavioural patterns. We inherit patterns we either like or dislike from our parents. It’s a very abstract notion, but I feel patterns can bring people together.” Émilie Régnier is based in Paris. Some of her work will be exhibited at the Steven Kasher Gallery in New York until June 2.
