Plenty to do to cel­e­brate Vic­to­ria Day in Wel­land

Face painting, an in­flat­able pi­rate ship, nine-hole mini-putt golf course, fire­works and more will be part of Vic­to­ria Day cel­e­bra­tions at Wel­land Com­mu­nity Well­ness Com­plex this week­end.

Sun­day’s free event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with Mad Science in the fit­ness room, fol­lowed by Zooniver­sity in the gym­na­sium at 6:45 p.m.

The As­so­ci­ates per­form in the theatre at 7 p.m.

At 8:15 p.m. Scoop McCoy Chil­dren’s Magic Show will per­form in the gym­na­sium and the fire­works will go off over the Wel­land Recre­ational Canal at 9:30 p.m.

Canal Bistro will be open serv­ing hot­dogs and other treats dur­ing the event, which runs rain or shine as all ac­tiv­i­ties, other than the fire­works, are in­doors.
