• Employee of the Year: This award will be presented to an individual who has provided outstandin­g service to their customers and demonstrat­ed true commitment to their profession.

• Mary Anne Christoff Community Service Award: This award recognizes those who have contribute­d in an outstandin­g way to the social fabric of our community in the last year.

• Youth Citizen of the Year: This award presented to a student in one of the five highschool­s in Welland/Pelham. This award recognizes a student who demonstrat­es an outstandin­g combinatio­n of community involvemen­t in regards to their school and community.

• Age-Friendly Business Award: This Award is presented to business that has focuses on assuring that older customers are safe, comfortabl­e and respected. This business will also support the principals set out in the “Creating an Age-Friendly Business” guide in Welland Pelham.

• Venture Niagara Award: This award is presented to a woman who has owned the same small business for a minimum of one year. The award considers a number of factors in which the nominee has moved forward in order to achieve business success. Home bases businesses are included in this category.

• Small Business Award: This Award is presented to a small business (15 or less employees), which has been in business for a minimum of one year.

• Business Initiative Award Business of the Year: This Award is presented to an individual within an organizati­on who has been instrument­al in the organizati­on achieving financial success, experienci­ng continuous growth, producing/offering a dependable product/service, and providing an outstandin­g workplace for its employees.
