• Employee of the Year: This award will be presented to an individual who has provided outstanding service to their customers and demonstrated true commitment to their profession.
• Mary Anne Christoff Community Service Award: This award recognizes those who have contributed in an outstanding way to the social fabric of our community in the last year.
• Youth Citizen of the Year: This award presented to a student in one of the five highschools in Welland/Pelham. This award recognizes a student who demonstrates an outstanding combination of community involvement in regards to their school and community.
• Age-Friendly Business Award: This Award is presented to business that has focuses on assuring that older customers are safe, comfortable and respected. This business will also support the principals set out in the “Creating an Age-Friendly Business” guide in Welland Pelham.
• Venture Niagara Award: This award is presented to a woman who has owned the same small business for a minimum of one year. The award considers a number of factors in which the nominee has moved forward in order to achieve business success. Home bases businesses are included in this category.
• Small Business Award: This Award is presented to a small business (15 or less employees), which has been in business for a minimum of one year.
• Business Initiative Award Business of the Year: This Award is presented to an individual within an organization who has been instrumental in the organization achieving financial success, experiencing continuous growth, producing/offering a dependable product/service, and providing an outstanding workplace for its employees.
