Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family at the Welland Hospital on Saturday, November 10, 2018 in his 92nd year. He is reunited with his precious wife of 65 years, Doris (nee Wilcox) 2014. Cherished father of Linda Homan (Gary), Catherine Terpak (Mike) and Brenda Warankie (Nick). Proud grandfathe­r of Jennifer Camden (Scott), Jeff Homan (Sandra), Jamie Homan (Mel), Steven Warankie (Melissa), Brad Warankie and Christophe­r Terpak (Stephanie) and great-grandfathe­r of McKenzie, Callie and Connor Camden, Jordan, Josh, Ben and Lucas Homan, Georgia and Morgan Homan, Matthew and Olivia Warankie and Carter Terpak. Survived by his brother and sister-in-law Claude and Bettie Wilcox. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predecease­d by his parents George and Ella Smith, father and mother-in-law Albert and Libby Wilcox, and his brothers and sistersin-law Sylvia and Ralph Atkinson and Frank and Marie Brunke. Earl worked for Canada Steamship Lines in his younger years, then later at Stelco Page Hersey as general foreman for 42 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church and the Masonic Lodge #373, as well as a faithful fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Earl was the most generous, kind-hearted and loving true gentleman who had a wealth of knowledge. Earl and Doris built their own workshop and did many crafts together, making the family reindeers, snowmen and countless crafts. They worked side by side in everything they did during their 65 years of marriage and their memories will live on within us. Friends and family are invited to visit at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL

HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Tuesday, November 13th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Pastor Jukka Saarinen and Pastor Carson Culp will conduct the funeral service in the Cudney Chapel on Wednesday, November 14th at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Interment will be held on Monday, November 19th at Pleasantvi­ew Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Matthews Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciate­d by the family. We give special thanks to all the nursing staff at the Welland Woolcott Wing for all the care and love they gave to our father. He loved all of you, Lindsey, Cathy and Sue, to name a few.
