Jackson-Triggs brings concert series online with iHeartRadio
Even with its summer concert season in jeopardy because of COVID-19, Jackson-Triggs is serving up plenty of music this month.
The Niagara-on-the-Lake winery has teamed with iHeartRadio for a series of livestream concerts called The Living Room Sessions which started May 1. The eight shows can be seen at iheartradio.ca.
The series kicked off with Elijah Woods and Jamie Fine on Friday and continued Monday with Wintersleep and Tuesday with Karl Wolf.
Subsequent shows will feature Jeremy Fisher Wednesday, Neon Dreams Thursday, Charlotte Cardin May 11, Classified May 12 and Mt. Joy May 18.
All shows start at 4 p.m.
Many of the acts have performed in the past for JacksonTriggs’ summer concert series, which started in 2002. The winery plans for a condensed version of the series this year, with a ticket launch delayed until at least mid-May.
With the online series,
JacksonTriggs has also donated
$10,000 to the
Canadian Red
Cross to support front-line workers.
“Our Niagara estate amphitheatre has been an admired venue for the enjoyment and celebration of Canadian music,” said Andrea Hunt, senior vicepresident of Jackson-Triggs operator Arterra Wines. “We’re honoured to continue to support and bring people together in a new way, that also helps Canadians in need of support.”
The winery’s concert series is held in its 575-seat open air amphitheatre, where more than 150 artists have performed over the past two decades.
