Has the COVID-19 pandemic left you feeling stressed and wondering where to get help?

The COVID-19 pandemic has not just increased concerns about physical health.

Mentally, people having been dealing with uncertaint­y, worry, anxiety and stress as they wonder about things like how they’re going to make ends meet, who will care for their children if they can’t go to daycare or school, or will their workplace remain open?

The provincial government’s COVID-19 website, www.gov.nl.ca/covid-19, has a list of resources that can help people.

Among them is Bridge the Gap, www.bridgetheg­app.ca, which offers online resources for youth and adults to support mental wellness.

People who may be feeling isolated or alone due to the pandemic can call the provincial CHANNAL Warmline at 1-855-753-2560 from 9 a.m. to midnight daily.

The Mental Health Crisis Line is also available 24 hours a day and can be reached at 1-888-737-4668.

The Kids Help Phone offers a crisis text line for children, youth and adults that can be accessed by texting ‘TALK’ to 686868. Adults can text ‘WELLNESS’ and frontline workers can text ‘FRONTLINE’ to 741741. The Kids Help Phone line can still be reached at 1-800-668-6868 24 hours a day.

SeniorsNL is also providing support for seniors or those who support them by phone at 1-800-563-5599, via email at info@seniorsnl.ca or online at http://seniorsnl.ca/.
