Two boys charged with of­fences in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents

CORNER BROOK — Two youths were charged in sep­a­rate in­ci­dents in the Town­site area of Corner Brook in the last few days. Early Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon, the Royal New­found­land Con­stab­u­lary re­sponded to a dis­tur­bance at a home and charged a 12-year-old boy with as­sault­ing a 22-year-old woman known to him. The woman was not hurt and the boy was re­leased to ap­pear in youth court in Septem­ber. On Thurs­day night, the RNC re­sponded to an­other dis­tur­bance and charged a 16-year-old boy with mis­chief to prop­erty, ut­ter­ing threats to cause dam­age to prop­erty and ut­ter­ing threats to kill.

He was held in cus­tody un­til a court ap­pear­ance Fri­day, af­ter which he was also re­leased to ap­pear at a later date. news­[email protected]­ern­star.com
