Mal­lory Basha, 19, was one of eight people to re­ceive a spe­cial sesqui­cen­ten­nial pin from Gudie Hutch­ings in Cor­ner Brook Thurs­day. Hutch­ings, the Lib­eral Com­mons mem­ber for Long Range Moun­tains, is pre­sent­ing a to­tal of 20 people from through­out her rid­ing with the pins in recog­ni­tion of their re­spec­tive con­tri­bu­tions to their com­mu­ni­ties. All Mem­bers of Par­lia­ment are do­ing the same thing in their own rid­ings to mark Canada’s 150th birth­day in 2017. Basha was nom­i­nated for her ex­ten­sive vol­un­teer work and youth lead­er­ship.
