Church Break­fast

The United Church in Stephenvil­le will be hav­ing a Break­fast on Satur­day, July 22 from 8:30 to 11 am. Tick­ets avail­able at the church hall door.


The Sal­va­tion Army An­nual Flower Ser­vices will be held Sun­day, July 23 at the Mount Pa­tri­cia Ceme­tery at 2 p.m. and the Sal­va­tion Army Town­site Ceme­tery at 3:30 p.m. In case of in­clement weather, ser­vices will be resched­uled at a later date.


The Harmon Hus­tle Road Race will take place in Stephenvil­le on Aug 6. Par­tic­i­pants will have a choice of 5km, 10km and 15km routes. Reg­is­ter on­line at har­mon­hus­tle.webn­


The United Church Flower Ser­vice will be August 6, 4 p.m. at Mount Pa­tri­cia.


The pub­lic will have an­other op­por­tu­nity to visit the Gren­fell Cam­pus Ob­ser­va­tory dur­ing pub­lic tours on Aug. 2 (at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.). Rooms: Aug. 2: 2 p.m. in AS2016 and 10 p.m. in AS2026. Par­tic­i­pants in the af­ter­noon tours must be 12 years of age or more; those at­tend­ing the evening ses­sions must be 16 years of age or more.


The Bay St Ge­orge Artists As­so­ci­a­tion is cur­rently hold­ing an Ex­hibit of original art by lo­cal artists in­clud­ing watercolor, oils, and acrylics. Over 40 pieces of original art­work will be on dis­play un­til Aug. 31. The gen­eral pub­lic is in­vited to drop by.

The Bay St. Ge­orge Mi’kmaq Cul­tural Re­vival Com­mit­tee is ask­ing people to con­trib­ute a block/blan­ket sec­tion for a com­mu­nity quilt, which will be dis­played and used at the an­nual pow­wow. For more in­for­ma­tion con­tact me at 6471370 or [email protected]
