The United Church in Stephenville will be having a Breakfast on Saturday, July 22 from 8:30 to 11 am. Tickets available at the church hall door.
The Salvation Army Annual Flower Services will be held Sunday, July 23 at the Mount Patricia Cemetery at 2 p.m. and the Salvation Army Townsite Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. In case of inclement weather, services will be rescheduled at a later date.
The Harmon Hustle Road Race will take place in Stephenville on Aug 6. Participants will have a choice of 5km, 10km and 15km routes. Register online at zone4.ca. harmonhustle.webnode.ca.
The United Church Flower Service will be August 6, 4 p.m. at Mount Patricia.
The public will have another opportunity to visit the Grenfell Campus Observatory during public tours on Aug. 2 (at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m.). Rooms: Aug. 2: 2 p.m. in AS2016 and 10 p.m. in AS2026. Participants in the afternoon tours must be 12 years of age or more; those attending the evening sessions must be 16 years of age or more.
The Bay St George Artists Association is currently holding an Exhibit of original art by local artists including watercolor, oils, and acrylics. Over 40 pieces of original artwork will be on display until Aug. 31. The general public is invited to drop by.
The Bay St. George Mi’kmaq Cultural Revival Committee is asking people to contribute a block/blanket section for a community quilt, which will be displayed and used at the annual powwow. For more information contact me at 6471370 or [email protected]
