Founder of Reno’s Louis’ Basque Corner restaurant dies
RENO, Nev. - The founder of a popular Basque restaurant that opened in downtown Reno 50 years ago has died. Louis Erriguible opened Louis’ Basque Corner a few blocks east of the downtown casino district in 1967. KRNV-TV reports he died Sunday at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Reno at the age of 90. His daughter, Margi, says Erriguible was born in France on Aug. 25, 1926, and moved to Reno in 1948.
