Walsh paves the way for Mon­archs women’s soft­ball vic­tory

COR­NER BROOK - A three-for-three ef­fort from Ha­ley Walsh that saw her score twice and drive in an­other two runs helped pro­pel the West Side Mon­archs to an 11-6 win over the KSAB Rangers in Mon­day night play from the Cor­ner Brook Mol­son Ladies Fast­pitch Soft­ball League at Am­brose O’Reilly Me­mo­rial Field.

San­dra Barter and Hi­lary Bour­geois were both 2-for-2 for the vic­tors. Bour­geois had three RBIs and two runs, while Barter scored a pair and col­lected one RBI. Raquel Tay­lor put up a 3-for-4 stat line in the loss, while Fe­li­cia Park was 2-for-4.

Selma Pike earned the pitch­ing win af­ter al­low­ing 16 hits over seven in­nings, with no walks and two strike­outs.

Donna Clarke took the loss de­spite strik­ing out nine bat­ters. She gave up 11 hits and walked one bat­ter.
