Beating the heat
Tuesday produced another day thick in humidity. That, coupled with the recent heat warnings, means lots of people are heading to Deer Lake beach to cool off. There were lots of people enjoying the sandy beach and the cool water of Deer Lake as the warm temperatures continued. It is getting more common to see interesting creatures floating along on the water. For instance, Genevieve Perrier from Deer Lake and her granddaughter 6-year-old Ella Perrier, who is visiting from Calgary, enjoyed cooling off with a wonderful purple unicorn.
