Shedding some light on saved funding
The City of Corner Brook has found an extra $100,000 to put towards a traffic signal study and upgrades.
The city had funded three projects under the Small Community Fund. Two of those projects, rebuilding section of Riverside Drive and some street resurfacing, have been completed and have come in around $100,000 under budget. The city had already allocated $140,000 for the traffic lights study and subsequent upgrading and will now add the remaining $100,000 for a total of $240,000 to study and implement traffic light improvements.
