Woman more than three times over the legal limit, say police
CORNER BROOK — Police say a woman from Corner Brook was more than three times over the legal limit upon her arrest for suspected impaired driving following a collision in Irishtown-Summerside April 30. The single-vehicle accident happened at around 9:20 p.m. and the woman was arrested at the scene on the north shore of the Bay of Islands. According to the Corner Brook detachment of the RCMP, she provided breath samples that were more than three times the legal limit of 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
Her vehicle was seized and impounded and her driver’s licence was suspended.
She was held in police custody overnight and was released with a scheduled court appearance of June 4.
