Woman more than three times over the le­gal limit, say po­lice

CORNER BROOK — Po­lice say a woman from Corner Brook was more than three times over the le­gal limit upon her ar­rest for sus­pected im­paired driv­ing fol­low­ing a col­li­sion in Ir­ish­town-Summerside April 30. The sin­gle-ve­hi­cle ac­ci­dent hap­pened at around 9:20 p.m. and the woman was ar­rested at the scene on the north shore of the Bay of Islands. Ac­cord­ing to the Corner Brook de­tach­ment of the RCMP, she pro­vided breath sam­ples that were more than three times the le­gal limit of 80 mil­ligrams of al­co­hol per 100 millil­itres of blood.

Her ve­hi­cle was seized and im­pounded and her driver’s li­cence was sus­pended.

She was held in po­lice cus­tody overnight and was re­leased with a sched­uled court ap­pear­ance of June 4.
