SIP and SAVOUR

The Western Re­gional Hos­pi­tal Foun­da­tion has a new fundraiser called Sip & Savour, tak­ing place 8 p.m. on Satur­day, June 1 at Hum­ber Val­ley Re­sort. Chef Nathan Horn­ridge will pre­pare small plates with wine pair­ings and Nick Ham­lyn will pro­vide live mu­sic. Call the Foun­da­tion Of­fice at 784-5353 for tick­ets or more in­for­ma­tion.

St. Michael’s Church Hall on Park Drive will hold a garage sale on Satur­day, June 8, 9 a.m. to noon.

SUMMER FUNDRAISER

A summer fundraiser will take place at Holy Trin­ity Church Hall in Gal­lants on Mon­day, July 1, be­gin­ning at 11 a.m. There will be a flea mar­ket and bake sale and ev­ery­one is wel­come.

SWEET­GRASS FES­TI­VAL

The Town of Stephenvil­le and the Indige­nous com­mu­nity will bring a new fes­ti­val to the re­gion Aug. 23 to 25. This will be fea­ture op­por­tu­ni­ties for lo­cal artists, crafters, sto­ry­tellers, dancers and knowl­edge keep­ers to share cul­ture and tra­di­tion. For more in­for­ma­tion call 643-3902.

The Western Brain In­jury Stroke Sur­vivor (WBISS) sup­port group meets ev­ery sec­ond Tues­day from 1:30 to 3 p.m. The meet­ings are held at the Pol­lett Room at Cor­ner Brook City Hall. This is a small, in­ti­mate group that fo­cuses on sup­port, growth and heal­ing. Feel free to join us. Re­fresh­ments will be served.
