CORNER BROOK, N.L. — Matt Wright released his new comedy album “Existing is Exhausting” on Oct. 3 and is now in the midst of a provincewide tour that will bring him to the west coast on Thursday, Oct. 10 and Friday, Oct. 11.

The stand-up comedian, writer, actor and director said he’s excited to the hit the road with the new album.

“They’re the best jokes I've written so far, and when I heard it played back I had great memories of recording at Quidi Vidi with my friends,” he said in a press release. “Trying to do a joke justice that you've worked on for years on a live recording is tough, but I think the album captures both the material and the silliness of recording the album in a brewery tap room really well.

“Some days I'm even proud of it, which feels like a huge win.”

Wright is known for his sharp, clean, conversational comedy about the struggle of being a person. And he can transition seamlessly between one liners, storytelling and silliness.

His tour has already taken him to arts and culture centres in St. John’s, Grand Falls-Windsor and Labrador City.

Wright will take to the stage at the Stephenville Arts and Culture Centre on Thursday and the Corner Brook Arts and Culture Centre on Friday.

His final show in the tour is Dec. 28 at the Joseph R. Smallwood Arts and Culture Centre in Gander.

Comedian Matt Wright will perform in Stephenville on Thursday and Corner Brook on Friday.
