The Canadian Cancer Society and the Corner Brook Stream Development Corporation recently held the annual daffodil bulb planting in the Field of Hope at Margaret Bowater Park in Corner Brook. The event, which was open to the community to attend, honours those who have battled cancer by planting daffodils in their name. This year it was also an opportunity to show appreciation for society sponsors and volunteers. Here, from left, Amanda Mansfield, the society’s health promotion co-ordinator in the Corner Brook office, and Debbie Brown, the society’s local development officer, plant bulbs during the ceremony.
