It is with great sad­ness that the fam­ily of the late Walter Wood­man an­nounce his pass­ing at the Pal­lia­tive Care Unit of West­ern Me­mo­rial Re­gional Hos­pi­tal at the age of 83 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and lov­ing me­mories his wife and best friend Patsy of 55 years. His daugh­ters: Neta (Kevin), Diana (Barry); his grand­chil­dren: Nancy and Matthew Guy; his sis­ter: Neta, Brenda; his broth­ers: Melvin, Clarence; his sis­ters-in­law: Jean Wood­man, Mau­reen Wood­man and Joanne Wood­man; and a large cir­cle of nieces, neph­ews, other rel­a­tives and friends. Walter was pre­de­ceased by his par­ents John and Ly­dia Wood­man, his grand­daugh­ter: Sara De­laney; his broth­ers: Regi­nald, Harry, Arthur, Derek; brother-in-law: Richard Wil­liamson. Cre­ma­tion has taken place. Vis­i­ta­tion for fam­ily and friends will take place at Coun­try Haven Fu­neral Home, 167 Coun­try Road, on Mon­day, De­cem­ber 10, 2018 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm from where the fu­neral ser­vice will take place at Coun­try Haven Fu­neral Home Chapel, on Tues­day, De­cem­ber 11, 2018 at 2pm with Rev. Jo­ce­lyn Cook officiating. In­ter­ment to take place at a later date. As ex­pres­sions of sym­pa­thy, there are no flow­ers by re­quest, in lieu of flow­ers do­na­tions can be made to a char­ity of one’s choice. The fam­ily would like to ac­knowl­edge and thank the doc­tor and staff of the emer­gency depart­ment of WMRH and also to the staff of the Pal­lia­tive Care Unit of WMRH for their kind­ness and com­pas­sion that the fam­ily re­ceived while Walter was in their care.
