EDSS robotics at provincials

The Woolwich Observer - - NEWS -

The EDSS Robotics team continued their winning streak at the North Bay District competition, emerging in first place as the district champs. It was another victory to pile on the others, as the Elmira team also took first place at the Waterloo competitions earlier in March.

Together, the two wins have boosted EDSS in the provincial rankings, placing Elmira in the top four teams in all of Ontario. With 157 teams registered to compete, placing fourth is certainly no small feat.

The decider, however, will be at the provincials this weekend, where EDSS will be facing off against competition from near and far, including the highest ranking team in Ontario, Orbit Robotics out of Oakville. If EDSS is successful, they will earn a place in the world championships.

The provincials are taking place at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, starting today (Thursday) and run until Saturday.
