4:00 PM | Waterloo Regional Police, in partnershi­p with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources, conducted a joint initiative related to deer hunting in Ontario. Spot check areas were set up throughout the region and several hunters checked to ensure compliance. As a result of the effort, two men were charged with hunting related offences at a Woolwich location near Line 86 and Halm Road. Officials remind hunters to educate themselves on provincial laws and regulation­s prior to participat­ing in a hunt.
