JANUARY 6

8:30 PM | Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Northfield Drive East and Highway 86 in Woolwich Township for a collision involving a horse-drawn buggy and motor vehicle. A car was travelling north on Northfield Drive East and proceeded through the intersection at Highway 86. The buggy was attempting to turn left onto Highway 86 when it collided with the vehicle. Both occupants of the buggy were transported to hospital. One occupant suffered minor injuries and another occupant suffered serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The two occupants in the vehicle were not injured. The horse was not seriously injured. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
